I've got 3 synths and 3 Horse hairs, (Omega S, RR Plissoft, Yaqi Tuxedo). I've been seperated from my horses for about 8 weeks or so. As much as I love my horse hairs, I've gained a lot of respect the new Synthetic offerings.
They each have a unique feel. While they are often compared to natural fibers, I think there is something just a bit different to the synthetics that make them not the same.
My favorite seems to be Tuxedo followed closely by the Plissoft. The S brush really isn't my cup of tea. But it will absolutely assault and batter a puck of Williams into a giving up a very nice lather.
I can't say I really miss my horse hairs all that much anymore.
