What does Super white mean?

I only have a 1305 brush but would like to have another one to celebrate I will soon be opening the MWF puck.

I have looked at the 2000 and 820 but what kind of hairs are these: http://vintagescent.com/shaving-brushes-c-5/semogue-2000-shaving-brush-p-24 ?

Are they softer or more coarse than my 1305?
I suppose the 820 is identical to the knot in my 1305 in regards to feel.

I would say the 2000 would not be an upgrade from the 1305. I honestly don't see much difference aside from the handle in the 820 either. If you want a different feel I'd go with a 610 due to the shorter loft.

I'm not sure I can explain that, it's just Semogue's grading of their boar hair, probably just the fact that it is not dyed.

If you want a stiffer brush try the 1520. I own both the 1305, and the 1520, and I find the 1520 to be much better due to it's shorter 50mm. loft. It's much better at facelathering than the 1305 which seems kind of floppy with it's 55mm. loft. I really like the classic looking wooden handles on my Semogues, they look really cool when their sitting on the counter in the stand.

There´s no such thing as "super white".
There are several hair gradings: super, premium,...
The 2000 is a mixture of 90% Premium and 70% Super which are not dyed = "white".

Excellent brush if you bowl lather, not sure what you´re looking for?
