Razor: S. K. Colling 7/8 The Spaniard XIV
Hone: Vermont Green Slate/Vintage La Lune
Brush: Paladin
Shaving Cream: Wm. Neumann Old Fashioned Soda
Aftershave: Wm. Neumann Old Fashioned Soda (sample)

An excellent “Once Over Shave” incorporating different directions to tackle my whiskers.

The Spaniard was keen and performed perfectly.

Doubling up on The Okd Fashioned Soda really makes the scent pop and provides some staying power.

Incredibly comfortable shave with a great DFS result. A “Once Over” might not always fit the bill, but it was the perfect follow up to yesterday’s three passes. 10/10.

Monday’s shave……
IMG_7274.jpeg
An almost full English today bar the blade.
D.R. Harris sandalwood soap and cologne
Trumper’s badger brush
Made in England red tip…..superb razor
GSB blade
Thought I’d try the GSB in the Red Tip today and it was excellent. I’ve had varying results with it in the past but it was a great match in this razor. Efficient yet smooth and low irritation score made for a DFS+ indeed.

What a pleasant end to a great tuck of blades! These blades have performed in all the razors that I have thrown at them and this last shave was no exception. Super smooth and comfortable and very close. No issues.

Evening shave - 5/12/24
Razor: KCG
Blade: Ladas Stainless Steel (1/5) (1)
Soap: BSS #1
Brush: RazoRock Pilssoft RR400
Aftershave: Clubman Citrus Musk
Rating: 9.25/10, DFS+
New blade to me in the Ladas Super Stainless. I decided to start safe and use a mild razor. The KCG performed just like it should and I have a very nice irritation free shave. The blade is certainly sharp and it resulted in a pleasant shave.

Preshave: Hot shower
Soap/Shave cream: Proraso Green
Brush: Perfecto Badger
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium (2)
Post shave: Pinaud Clubman
Rating: 10/10

I sometimes take the Edwin Jagger for granted. It sits there, all nice and shiny, beautifully finished and all but it's not stainless steel/titanium/aluminum/unobtanium or is it adjustable or expensive or made in some exotic place, unless you consider Sheffield, England exotic. It's just a good, honest razor. And it delivered yet another amazing shave this morning without drama, nicks or cuts; smooth as silk with the great Wizamet blade and terrific Proraso shave soap.
So you see, Edwin, I do appreciate you after all.
In fact, I ordered another one with a heavier, larger handle and I'm sure I'll appreciate that one too.

This was the 4th consecutive day I used the Henson AL 13*** razor – the more aggressive Henson - and a Wizamet blade. This was another close and smooth. The blade has lost some of its sharpness and I will go with a new combo on Tuesday. When I use this razor I never have to do any touch-ups. Today’s brush is my first boar brush – an Omega 81052. The brush made excellent lather with the Haslinger soap. This was the 15th day I used the soap. The shave was perfect. Have a wonderful day, folks.

Wanted to try out some Vintage Personna Injector blades that came my way recently.
Popped one into my trusty Bullet Tip and WOW, are they a sweet shave.
MDC Sample only required a bit of loading and produced a nice rich three pass lather plus
a face wash.

More stubble ATG on my neck than face. A couple red spots that didn't bleed. Today's lather not as wet as the last few shaves. It still did a wonderful job providing slickness for my razor. I originally wanted to participate in MdC Monday, but, I am enjoying C&S O&C so much. I have never 3017ed a soap before, but, could see doing it now. That said a break now and then is more my style. I did use Proraso the shave before last. The Spoiler is still knocking down whiskers like nobody's business. Such a great blade. I started the new bottle of Thayer's Witch Hazel today after so long. Alum and splash felt fine barely any feedback. All in all a great shave.
