It was my first shave with this vintage soap and it was excellent! It was still in its cellophane wrapper which had kept the Lords scent in (now called Douro) and the lather built easily and was very slick.
Overall a close and pleasant shave with no irritation or Alum feedback.

First time using the Wilkinson Sword blade - feels smooth and close after a 3 pass 1WTG 1XTG 1ATG + touch ups DFS shave.
Again some irritation in the neck area but not much.
I did nick myself again but in a problem chin area with a long standing spot so all in all another good shave with the Henson.
I have noticed that the TOBS cream although excellent does dry quickly - maybe my fault but no big deal plenty to spare.

No pic today. SWMBO in a foul mood and doesn't appreciate the time/effort I put into this hobby on a good day.

# Days Growth:2
Soap/Cream:Highland Springs Barbershop
Brush:WCS Synthetic
Post Shave:Cold water, Thayers, Proraso White

Started w new Tiger - awful - not sharp or smooth. This is the 2nd time this has happened (same tuck). Banked after one pass and put in used Dorco which was infinitely better. Ended up with BBS-.

Very nice evening shave.

Blade: 7 O'Clock Yellow (1)
Brush: Razorock Bruce 24mm plissoft
Cream: Cella Bio Croap

Snuck this shave in while the wife and kids were watching an episode of Bluey (which is pretty good stuff as these things go). 9.5/10.

FFFMM (Fixed Four For March Madness) 2024

Hello friends

The first afternoon below 20°C of the year. I chose SV Manna di Sicilia as my soap for FFFMM 2024 and as it doesn't exactly have a summer scent, today's shave was in fact the first one suitable for it.

Greencult 2.0 plate II
Gillette Silver Blue (3)
SV Manna di Sicilia
Semogue SOC Mistura

To match the milder temperature, I finished with Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve, an aftershave that I love.

Greencult 2.0 and GSB were stupendous, as always.

With us, Gene Ammons.

Evening, last night's shave:

Razor: Razorock Stainless Lupo with .58 plate and Titanium Halo handle
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Super Stainless
Pre: Hot Water
Soap: Ach Brito Mogno
Brush: Omega Boar Pro
Aftershave: Skin Bracer
Post: Eucerin Complete Repair

One of my favorite shaves, everything just comes together with this setup. Good efficiency, zero irritation.

10/10

Cheers

Razor: Fatip Gentile w/ wood handle
Blade: Feather (3)
Brush: Zenith B03-A26 aluminum pro boar
Soap: AOS lemon cream super-lathered w/ Haslinger Sage
A/S: Dickinson's witch hazel
A/S: Epsilon Blue

DFS++

I put the Haslinger Sage into an old Tabac shave stick container. Using the wide stick format for face lathering works great. Epsilon Blue is a good match with the Haslinger soap.

Preshave: Glycerine Facewash with warm water splashes
Razor : Gillette Super Adjustable (Black Beauty) @5
Blade : Gillette 7O'Clock Black Indian (D5)
Brush : Simpson Duke 3 in Best Badger
Soap : Wilkinson Sword Shaving Stick
Aftershave : Alum Block + Cold water splashes + Skin Bracer AS Lotion

Close and comfortable DFS+ in 3 passes !! :pipe:

Quick morning shave. I wanted to restrict it to one pass due to lack of time. I should have used the GWS blade from my previous shave but for some reason decided to use a new Gentleman blade instead. The shave was incredibly smooth on the cheeks. I did not do XTG but it is glassy smooth in all directions except ATG!

Zero nicks, almost no irritation. Stretching the skin too much is actually the cause for a lot of irritation and maybe even nicks. This time I just did very mild stretching, mostly with just mildly contorting my face.

The Captain Nemo Absolute Zero after-shave offers bone-chilling cooling, almost a bit too much so I had to apply the Anherb after-shave conditioner on top of it and it was good. The Absolute Zero smells literally like the Polo mint confectionery (not sure if these are popular in the ConUS/EU) and I am not a fan of the smell.

Overall, quite pleased with the shave. There is some tiny amount of stubble under chin area. Hence the reduced point in the rating.

Peace x3 🙏

This is the 5th shave with the Henson AL++ razor and Personna Medical Prep blade. Since this is a milder razor, I get many more shaves out of the blade. Today’s brush is a Paladin El Dorado, one of my favorite brushes. The brush held enough lather for me to easily do a four-pass face and two- pass head shave. The vintage Williams is on its 99th use. Have a great day and weekend, folks.
