Most, if not all, of the original gold wash is gone.

Polish it like anything else made of brass,
and it will be great.

Before sending it out, I used my grandfather's short comb model and it shaved really nicely. Very aggressive, but definitely solid for 1.5 pass. My understanding is the long comb is less aggressive.

It came back yesterday. Haven't used it yet, but going to soon. This is the razor that turned me into a collector. If I get more discretionary income I might try to find the case to go with it.

Separately, previously I said I might toss the case that came with the razor when I bought it, but now I am thinking I might also buy the razor and blade bank that matches the case just to add it to the collection, but first I really want a 1940s Aristocrat. That razor speaks to me.
