Using Witch Hazel?

Great thread guys! I need to pick up some WH!

Now tell me this. Dickens ins has alcohol. Thayers doesn't. What I'm gathering is wh needs 14% alcohol....

Standard Witch Hazel extract, like Dickinson's and generics, contains 14% alcohol. Thayer's is more of a hydrosol made from the Witch Hazel plant.

I shifted from a standard AS to a WH/balm combination because I was getting some irritated spots with AS; well I'm getting the same irritated spots with the WH/balm combination but without the refreshing AS tingle. I'm going back to AS without the WH, I don't the WH is doing anything for me.

I use witch hazel daily as an astringent, after it evaporates then I apply an AS or balm depending on the scent of the day.
