I picked up a Lamy Safari in dark blue with medium nib. I also got a spare 1.1 stub nib.

@Shave_Rat Sounds like a nice pen. Thanks for the update. On an aside, my Black Swan in Australian Rose has been sitting unused for years due to the same issues =)
Snagged a LAMY Studio yesterday from the River store,$44.93. I must have gotten lucky as now it’s north of $50. The seller was the LAMY store.

Wally World had Lamy Al-Stars cheap so I ordered one.
I started a Bullet Journal, and I take a lot of notes at work. I switched from Pilot G2 gel pens to LAMY Safari. I have one in black and one red. The finger positioning takes a little getting used to, but I’m happy with the choice
Great question. I’ve done that before and it makes for a monster amount of ink! I get bored easily though and I’d like to use this pen as my ink sample pen (I have a ton of unused ones) so I’ll stick with the cartridge converter. The international cart converter is perfect for that as they run out very quickly. The Kultur is also pretty perfect for that since you can pull the feed and nib out of the section to soak making ink swaps a simple process. It’s a little bit of a pity though since if I did use it as an eye dropper it would be a cool to see all that ink sloshing around.
My plan is to use a constantly changing set of inks in this and run noodles black and waterman serenity blue through my two Pelikans.
I sent this Onoto Self Filler to get repaired after I bought it at local auction. It writes beautifully
