Floïd masaje Mentolado Vigoroso -- just reached the bottom of another 400 ml bottle.
This fantastic aftershave, one of my all time favourites, is by now no longer in production. I managed to hoard a few 400 ml bottles of "Vigoroso" before the Ludovico Martelli company that recently acquired the Floïd brand decided to kill off this legendary aftershave.
The reformulated Floïd "Genuine" is the closest you get, it's still good, but in my opinion it is clearly not quite on level with the Floïd Vigoroso.
I just wonder why -- why did they have to do this .... People loved this aftershave, just like the legendary Floïd Blue, which was also killed off. Makes no sense ...
So, finishing this bottle was a solemn moment for me. As 400 ml bottles go, I think I have finished off more 400 ml Floïd bottles than any other aftershave. Alas, two more Vigoroso to go, and it's all over. But life will go on ...

So I reached the bottom of another bottle of Proraso green splash (400 ml). Good stuff.

Finally used up a Pinaud Clubman aftershave after 9 or 10 years. Now I have to work my way through a big bottle of Special Reserve, ughhhh!

The cull continues - 70cc Shulton Oriental Spice After Shave And Shower. A strong scent in the style of Jade East or Hai Karate but much better, and stronger, than either. High longevity for an aftershave.

Goodbye old friend. This Black Pepper and Lime cream is in my top two creams. Some folks have a top five, or top ten, but this and Erasmic are my top two. Everything else seems some way behind. I tried some cream samples recently, but wasn't won over. I will be sticking to those two, plus my modest array of soaps.

Two small tub soaps servings (one Wickhams, one Phoenix and Beau), and a tube of Erasmic will now be furnishing the bathroom, till one runs out.

I finally 3017'd a stick of Arko yesterday (had mashed it into a puck kept in one of my small shaving bowls). New formula Tabac is now taking its place in my primary rotation (soaps kept in my open apothecary mugs and shaving bowls) of three soaps that includes my custom blend and What-the-Puck Black in addition to the Tabac. Of course I have my other soaps and creams such as MWF, Cyril R. Salter, LEA and D.R. Harris in resealable containers for more occasional use.

An excellent soap - the wooden tub is too nice to throw away. I might give it a coat of varnish and see if another puck will fit, or use it for odds and ends.

My favorite Sandalwood by far, worthy of a send-off.

I so very much prefer TH creams in tube vs tub and this with Trafalgar are my faves in that regard.

This was the first block that I managed to use all the way down to a DE blade sized sliver without dropping. It's only taken me about four or five of them to get the hang of it...
