Afternoon gents. Glad to see the board is all present. Although I've been missing Shane lately. You didn't try to bait him into a political discussion did you? Speaking of them, they keep popping up at the rate of two or three per day. Not even subtle either. The thread titles are obviously meant to bait. I don't even open them anymore. Foolishness.
Watched the 9/11 tribute on History HD last night. Anyone else see it? Very powerful and moving of course. 1.5 hrs. of raw video footage shot by various amateurs that day. Gave a real 'man on the street' eyewitness to history vibe.
Anyone been to the speakeasy and read the cigarretts thread? All about guys who roll their own. I'm not a smoker but it was a facinating discussion. It's a whole subculture just like shaving.
A huge hobby shop opened up down the road from me. Haven't been in yet, but it's got to be filled w/ great stuff. It's as big as Home Depot. I used to do leather work, wood work, models, beads, ceramics and all sorts of cool stuff when I was a kid. Then you grow up and there's no time for anything. Been thinking I'll check out that store and see if there's something that interests me. It'll prob. cost a bunch of cash is the problem. Still, think I'll go poke around. Anyone here have an interesting hobby--besides shaving?

To hit on a few points with some brevity, occasionally I read through the politico threads for a quick chuckle or to wince at how caddy (catty?) people can get reduced to. I made the mistake of getting into a W bashing debate on a motorcycle forum a few years ago and won't make that mistake twice. I refuse to lower my sodium intake to offset the high blood pressure.
I also keep an eye on the cigarette thread and live vicariously so to speak as an ex-cigarette smoker who knows the pleasure that can be derived from a timely smoke.
That hobby store sounds cool. My friends and I used to frequent the R/C section of a local shop when we were younger. Lots of time/money blown on those little trucks!

I was wondering what the reaction was to Favres opening day as a Jet? That has to be a bitter pill to swallow for the fans and press up your way. Where does most of the blame lie do you think. W/ the Pack or Favre. Don't know if you're an f-ball fan or not, but figure it's gotta be THE story up there so you can't miss it.
