Suggest a (light or even fleeting) aftershave to pair with MFK Oud fragrance

I usually pair my woody fragrances with Captain's Choice Sandalwood aftershave but I have been on an Maison Francis Oud kick

lately and would like something that would pair well with that. Nothing that would overwhelm The MFK since it's kinda light

on it's own.

I generally don't even like the smell of Oud but the MFK just clicked with me. As a matter of fact I have never even

sampled any oud aftershaves.

I'm in the process of placing a WCS order ( Fine Aquamarine is back in stock!!) and I would like to add some other suggestions.

Yes sir. Although I really like the extract too, I haven't pulled the trigger on a full bottle yet.

FWIW, with such a grand cologne, for myself, I wouldn't use a highly scented aftershave.
Perhaps I'd use a woody shave soap or cream, then a light aftershave, a witch hazel, or even just a water rinse.
On me, even with a 'light' cologne, it would last and last.
Especially oud.
Just my personal experience!

My first inclination is to use something essentially scentless.

I know I’ve sampled mfko before, but I don’t remember exactly how it smells. Based on fragrantica reviews and notes, i still can’t tell.

When I wear a fragrance, I use only Osage Rub for my aftershave. I get my menthol fix, but, the scent only lasts about 15 minutes, so, it won’t clash.

Correct. Unless, of course, he WANTS to smell like a fetid combination of MFK and nursing home.

Yeah. I have been using Noble Otter unscented with the MFK but I would like to something with a light oud note.
I am finding out that it just doesn't exist.
