Thanks David- at the moment I am involved in the newest edition of the Brush Chronicles which means that I am rotating soaps, creams, razors and after shaves and using the same brush for two weeks. I will be back to Arlington soon enough!

Good morning.

Filarmonica 13 : Semogue Owners Club : Penhaligons English Fern : Brut after shave : L'Erbolario balsamo

My fifth complete straight razor shave, and the first one with this Filarmonica.

You can tell from the choice of razor this morning that we were inevitably going to have a visit by 'Mr. Nick'. Common sense and advice from experienced shavers dictate that this type is "...not recommended for beginners..." But of course the undersigned is not really bothered with such ...details.

So I went ahead and ended up with a close shave, 4 nicks and redness in the usual half side of the neck. Face hurts a bit, but we're ok.

A precise instrument, this beauty is. Did an excellent touch up job in both upper lip sides. With experience, this razor will do magic.

Razor: Charlie Lewis Custom, Spike point, Mammoth Ivory scales.
Head Shaver: Feather All Stainless
Strop: SRD Premium IV, English Bridle. E.L. 3"
Soap/Cream:DR Harris Arlington
Astringent: Alum Osma
After shave Balm: DR Harris Arlington
EdT: DR Harris Arlington
Results: Another fine shave. Arlington has been a long time favorite. Good quality products, with a lovely scent. The Shavemac is by far my most dense brush, it goes medieval on any soap regardless of how hard they are Todays head shave was done with a Feather DE. This razor is rather on the mild side. I like it!

Results: An outstanding shave. I just got this fine piece of custom workmanship from another member. It is a beauty to look at and it shaves the part. The Chubby whipped up an incredible lather and the RW wiped it clean. I'm BBS like you wouldn't believe and ready to head to court. What a way to wrap up the work week. You gentlemen are the best!
