Hello friends
Sultry afternoon here. Perfect for using one of my favorite soaps: Stirling MITA. Semogue SOC Boar, Greencult 2.0 plate II, a brand new Gillette Nacet (1) and Pinaud Citrus Musk complemented the shave splendidly.

Nice lather & scent from the soap, brush, and splash combination!
Enjoyed a lovely shave with this excellent razor. It has an awesome edge after being refreshed on the diamond balsa & HBA...

Today was the second performance of the scalloped cap on the new DSC V92 brass razor. It's of course way too early to pass final judgement on this razor, but the first shave with the scalloped cap was better and so was the second shave with the parallel cap. Not that it was an uncomfortable shave, rather it wasn't as close as the first two shaves. DFS in two WTG passes with touchups. No irritation, no nicks and no weepers. The stand for this razor is from Yintal and was so incredibly cheap that it is bordering on larceny. (USD 2.50)
I had too little soap left in my HOM sample and decided to make a super lather by adding a generous amount of TOBS cream to the scuttle. I changed a bit on the lathering after @SmoothOperator was so kind to share a Shave Nation video with me on achieving and maintaining proper brush hydration for making a perfect lather. I had to try this out right away. Here's the Gist: water the brush (don't soak) for a couple of minutes, DO NOT shake/flick the water out of brush, gentle squeeze the bristles and then load the brush holding it with the bristles up and either adding a bit of shaving cream on the top or when using a soap holding the soap tub upside down (and the brush bristles up). Since I used samples today that wasn't really possible but I just refrained from shaking the water out of the brush and just gently squeezed the upper third of the bristles. I used a badger today and generally I need a bit more time to make a good lather with this one and frequently having to add water. Not today! My scuttle overflowed (and it's a big one) in 5 seconds!!! with perfect lather. I believe it was the combination of super lather and a well hydrated brush which concluded in perfection.
This Friday shave was completed with Boss The Scent aftershave balm and the matching Boss The Scent Intense EdP.
