Three passes with the straight. Nice, clean shave. Couple of nicks, but Mr. Styptic to the rescue, and all is well. Still reserving judgement, but the VdH Select isn't impressing me much. It may just require a different water ratio than the Deluxe, so I'll give it a couple more shaves, but the lather while easy to produce is unremarkable. Scent is nonexistent, as is cushion or glide.
The Deluxe is far superior, and if things don't improve, I'll be chucking this puck in the trash and popping some Deluxe in this bowl. We shall see.

My own homemade vegan croap (unscented for sensitive skin)
Warm splashes

Great shave last night with my homemade croap. In terms of slickness and protection, I find it being as good as Panna Crema and Stirling, but much easier to lather. YMMV. :biggrin1:

Gold Dollar Day Two: Much smoother today but I think it needs to a tiny bit sharper. I should get that done tonight and have it on it's way back tomorrow afternoon.

I used my Stirling Lavender Sage today.. Great lather, great scent, great shave! I finished up with Aqua Velva Musk (glass bottle).

The Gillette Green Indian was smoother today. The Burberry London Man EdT really projects, I had to apply it with a light touch. SWMBO liked it.
