I'm a Harry Potter (or at least I was 'till I shaved!)
Jokes aside, I took a course a while back in Cegep (Quebec's equivalent to prep school) where I had to make a few pieces. I'm in building engineering(similar to civil), but some some reason you need BS unrelated courses like that to graduate. I didn't know it at the time, but the bowl pictured is perfect for shaving. It's heavy and has a wavy texture (from my fingers). I only wish I had the foresight to make a scuttle while I had access to a wheel, glazes and kiln.

Scent of this soap is great. I followed Seth's advice and held in under hot water for 3-4 min. and suddenly the entire bathroom bloomed with the scent of tobacco & bergamot. There are definite tickle your nose black pepper notes and just a hint of vanilla and what I think is lavender.
