Side-by-Side Test of 12 "Top Rated" Soaps: Western Bracketology

Good performance by Castle and Forbes Lavender in our M3 vs. F5 test of modern systems. http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showth...-AND-Fusion-5-vs-Mach-3?p=8482608#post8482608

The shave was particularly notable for delicate scent the wife loved, well above-average glide and slickness without a film of slippery goo, and great nick protection. Good lingering comfort and a solid 10-11 hour clean shaven look. Best performance was with the M3 system. Result: CFL remains in the Western Finals and may move on to the Olympics.

Excellent performance by Western Bracket finalist Cold River Soap Works Bois Floraux in a side-by-side test of the M3 and F5 razors in the modern shaving systems section:

Most notable were the amazing rich lather, zero nicks, lingering comfort and very good closeness. Much of this may be attributable to the CRSW formula which is similar to other artisan soaps yielding same-type lather qualities. Still not crazy about the scent but there are other fragrances in the CRSW lineup so that's not a major issue at this point. It's very likely that CRSW will move on to face the other regional brackets in our upcoming Olympic-series tests.
