Should I upgrade my DE safety razor?

3 w unshaved.......... . My advice: either grow a beard if it fills out (you have to give it 10w or more w no trimming), or else: shave more often than 3w...... Up to one week you may look cool, but 2-3w never looks good....

Just get a Fatip open comb....and shave with it......NO pressure.....just put a new sharp blade and it will shave your beard off.

You don’t need a new razor. Learn to use what you have and call it a day. With good technique, a great shave can be had with any razor.

As for as quality, all Gillettes are quality razors. The Tech is as good as it gets. Expensive does not equal quality, but it is more expensive.

Personally after reading the OPs responses, I would get a Gamechanger. The base plates allow for a customized shave, it will last a lifetime.

As for the tech, I love them but the Maggard potmetal clone of it shaves closer than most post war techs. They don’t last though, a few years.

So back to the CG .84 and .68.
