Shave Everyday With A Straight?

That's either your technique or honing. With a Gillette cartridge I would be raw by day 5. After I moved to jnats i have no problem going 7 days a week.

Brooksie is that because your jnats give you a sharper edge or smoother shave?

I would go the shavette route, but I hate 1/2 DE blade shavettes. All I have is a Dovo Shavette at this point, and those blades aren't available everywhere. I just stick with a 4 piece travel razor if I have to.

Ever think of going the Feather AC or similar type shavette? The longer blades are really nice.

I use DEs during the week since I'm usually in a rush in the morning. I'll bust out the straights on the weekends when I can shave at a leisurely pace.

I started using a straight a couple months ago and using it daily has allowed me to progress really fast. I'm already shaving against the grain.

I started using straights June of last year. I haven't shaved with anything but a straight razor since just before Thanksgiving of last year. I shave almost everyday, but sometimes I take a day or two off so I can shave off some longer whiskers.

I shave 365 days a year, I only use a DE if I am in a rush or traveling.
