So I have been shaving with the Slim for just over a week now. After 18 months of using a Merkur 34c, the experience has been like starting anew to DE shaving. Irritation on the neck, some scraping, a juicy cut on the chin, and more than normal stubble after the first pass. Apart from its beautiful workmanship, the only positive of this razor so far is its easier to shave under the nose than the Merkur.

I'll keep persisting until I figure it out.

Happy to report that this mornings shave will my Slim was a beauty. Not entirely sure what made the difference because there were a number of firsts.

First time user of a new Duke 3 brush and Polsilver Super Iridium blade. Also change my grip - higher up near the dial.

It was smooth, close, and without any blood or irritation. The first pass removed more stubble than previous times.
