Thanks Juan, you are correct: these tips are very soft!Looks the hair has soft tips!!
I never knew what "gel-tips" really were until now.
Check out this photo of the knot when wet, those "clumps" are caused by the tips splitting and wrapping around each other.
After the clumps dry and get "brushed out", the tips feel like a pillow.
