Nick in my Strop- How should I sand it?

If it is a laceration, perhaps some sort of bonding agent is the way to go. I had a slice in my thumb a couple of months back, and glued it together superficially using our good friend super glue. I would imagine for a strop cut, you would want all of the bonding to be done below surface level, and perhaps super glue would be to stiff and brittle? Perhaps a dab of barge cement inside the cut, and then clamp the affected area (i.e.- put it on something flat with a couple of heavy dictionaries on top). But sure that there is no excess on the top stropping surface.

Perhaps barge cement is the ingredient used in the TV infomercial stuff too? Anyhow, I'm sure there is a proper bonding agent that could be used.

How about contact cement for repairs? It bonds formica onto ply well with only a paper thin coating, and doesn't really dry "hard".
