yup. It does look like Colt is returning to true blue but that price is out of an Old Two-Eyed Fat Man.
Great looking firearm, but I agree with Jar, too much of an investment for this man.

Got all the Snakes I need for now. Should a 4” Diamondback (.38) show up in the future, I may jump on that. For now, Colt/CZ has my pound of flesh and then some.
I am glad to be seeing all the old models come back. All the "experts " said years ago that we would likely never see a new Colt DA revolver and certainly not see a polished blue model.
Give it a year or two and the street price will be down a good bit. I am seeing new stainless models at gunshows for less than $1300.

If it's the real Royal Blue it will be great. It seems a few on reddit have had qc issues since Colt and Cz got together. With the Pythons and with a few Cz's as well. Hope they iron it out.
I had one in the early 80s. It was the prettiest handgun I'd ever seen. It was also a tack driver on the range, but it was mechanically finicky. Open & close the cylinder, barrel leading and case ejection could be problematic. If the price were reasonable, I would consider another. I'm sure machine tolerances and quality control is better now.

I'll keep mine. I bought it new in 1979. It's still tight as a drum.
I'm not so sure on the QC.
I doubt anyone at the factory even knows how to produce the COLT Royal Blue of the 1950s - 1960s ....

I agree , reports on Standard Manufacturing have been very good. Unfortunately I am not financially in the market lol. I'm on a hunt for a used Anschutz 17 series rifle or an HK usp t in 45. Maybe next year a blued beauty.
