There’s a deal on these at Walgreens . . .
Thanks for the heads up. They halved my order and still charged me full shipping, but I now have the real deal to test against the $4 knockoff posted above.

I keep hearing about the CeraVe. Is it almost as good? Does it leave a residue? For me works well also CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. Probably not so refined as Neutrogena but a lot cheaper
Actually cerave is way more “refined” than Neutrogena for barrier recovery and skin nutrients. For me works well also CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. Probably not so refined as Neutrogena but a lot cheaper
My curiosity has been peaked enough that--after doing some online shopping--I called Neutrogena to see if the formula mentioned in the OP has been discontinued. It has.
They have replaced it with "Hydro Boost Water Cream," which is still fragrance-free.
The product specialist on the phone (who didn't seem to really know anything about the two products) claimed that the new formula offers 72 hours of hydration vs the 48 hours of the Extra-Dry version, and is thus an "upgrade."
Who knows?!

this is almost as bad as MWF getting eviscerated. What, you don't like it when your favorite product gets "re-formulated?"

Amazon still has it: Amazon.com - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NR1YQK4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1My curiosity has been peaked enough that--after doing some online shopping--I called Neutrogena to see if the formula mentioned in the OP has been discontinued. It has.

Yup and drops/liquid that many use and loveHyaluronic acid is available in powdered form. It can be added to bolster products you already have or used to mix your own serum. Maybe some folks will find this empowering.
please let me know what she thinks!!! I am not hopeful, but at the same time, I haven't really found a good 1:1 replacement.its for sure different in texture does not stick to the finger the same and does not spread the same
the new stuff for sure has NO scent to my nose where the other has a very sleight neutral smell
its also more opaque in white and the jar is smaller and made of glass now
but holds the same 1.7 oz
my wife also uses it so going to have her do a side by side tomorrow and see what she thinks
you hit the nail on the head. I sweat a lot. All balms I have tried - and I have tried a lot - leave an outer layer on my face that lasts for the whole day.I have had Cerave but do not like it as it never dried as dry and left a feeling on my face and hoping this does not do that
that was the issue with ALL the other face things is it never just made the skin nice and always left something that could sweat off ! Arggghhhh again maybe this wont do that ? We shall see and will do a side by side before I work out and see what I notice this week
YUP the melting of balms or other creams is my huge issue when hiking working out riding my bike etc.. really not fun OH so hate that feeling and why I quit using the "shave balms" or other face lotions evenplease let me know what she thinks!!! I am not hopeful, but at the same time, I haven't really found a good 1:1 replacement.

this gives me some hopewife's response
said it was more balmy in texture or more solid maybe firmer in the jar (agree on those) and took longer to evaporate or dry up than the original did but she did not notice any other difference and by the time it dries out it seems to be the same but she of course will use it again tomorrow
the dry time was basically still short when she was done with her morning prep she did not notice it behind different
and this takes it awaylike I said above for me was very close BUT putting it on later in the day without aftershave to help it thin out spread around like the way I use it I did notice it had a longer dry time on my face so maybe say 15-20 minutes where the other one just seems to rub in and blend in within minutes
much appreciate your thoughts sirSo
I am still not used to the way it goes on
but I think its the same in the end or seems to be from longer use as I said
and I did adjust how much I was using and using about half of the original
the after morning or later in the day without my splash is working OK also might have had a bad day the first day b
as said it does take about 2x as long it seems and is not as instant rub in but I would say within a minute its in the same spot
I might have used way to much the first day I was trying it mid day?
But I still prefer the texture and the way it sticks to my finger to get it out of the original
so not as upset as I was about it at the start yeah that can happen I guess hahahahah
so am going to wonder if I use in the end and it lasts longer hmmmmmmm
