Well,

I would highly recommend a Thiers-Issard straight for you. I own only 9 straights and of all the ones that I have honed to touch up, my TI holds the edge the longest along with the Filarmonica. I love the balance of the TI and their quality is very high end IMO. The razor simply feels substantial and not "cheap".

Indeed the selection is very nice but mystifying to the uninitiated such as me. Care to comment on the distinction between the model numbers, 1, 10, 11, La Legende, etc.?

The blades are the same. The scales have varying patterns.
