Merkur Futur Review - Highly Recommended

When I first joined this forum, the Futur was among my favorite razors. I liked it so much that I bought all 3 colors (matte,chrome,gold) and the all brass plated clone. However I stopped using it frequently because it can be dangerous when used without caution. I have 2 deep scars, one near my eye when I started shaving with a large gap and another on my finger when I was adjusting midshave with wet fingers. It's one if my love/hate razors that can deliver a great shave when treated with respect.

I've just gotten back to using my Futurs and like much more than a clone. BBS is the norm for a setting 3 or 3.5 and then down to 1.5 for ATG. No weepers or cuts for me, but then again, I am very careful using my Futur, one must maintain a fair degree of focus which for me, simulates possibly a Zen experience.
