Ix-nay on the Ickstarter, 'kay?

Guys, we've been having a few more "hey look at this kickstarter project" threads, linking to currently-seeking-funding kickstarter projects.

Please remember this, from our Rules:

9b. Any attempts at promoting gambling, raffles or unauthorized use of this site for fund-raising is strictly prohibited, this would include, But is not limited to such things as charity events,"vote for me/someone I know in a contest", solicitations for medical treatment costs or political campaigns. This means that Kickstarter is also prohibited (and any sites like it).

And for the record, just taking the hotlink out and talking about the project without an actual link ... isn't going to cut it.

Now, I know that the vast majority of members here are decent guys who try to behave themselves, follow the rules, and stick to "accepted community behaviour standards". Occasionally, though, we're not as "up on" the rules as maybe we ought to be, and mistakes can happen. So for those guys, hopefully this serves as a friendly pre-emtive reminder.
