The Moderator Team thought it would be a good idea to highlight a recent update to our Terms of Usage. As of late, a great deal of resources and energy have been dedicated to policing threads and posts containing Kickstarter or other similar fundraising sites & their projects, unfunded projects, and pre-order projects. We thought it would be a good idea to post a friendly reminder here in hopes of clearing things up. Feel free to post comments in the Site Feedback Forum regarding matters of the TOU. Please ask for clarifications and contribute input of a constructive nature there. We will get to you with an answer. This is not a call for contentious debate or an opportunity to gripe about this rule.

Any attempts at promoting gambling, raffles or unauthorized use of this site for fund-raising is strictly prohibited, this would include, but is not limited to such things as charity events, "vote for me/someone I know in a contest", solicitations for medical treatment costs or political campaigns. This means that discussion of Kickstarter or other similar fundraising sites & their projects, unfunded projects, and pre-order projects are also prohibited.
