Help Identifying Canadian Gillette Tech

Hey guys! Just bought this tech off of Etsy. Its pretty obvious it's a Canadian made Tech but the handle looks a bit different from a regular "fat handle". I haven't received it yet. Anyone have any idea of the year it was made and if anyone has experience with this tech/how did does it shave? Finally how does it compare to a regular USA made post war tech? Heard Canadian techs are a bit more aggressive/efficient. Thanks!

I don't know anything. The only Tech I have was made just prior to that one between 46 and 49 or so. The heads are similar, so I would expect it to be a mild and wonderful shaver.

That is a variation on the fat handle, the "thinner" fat handle, if you will. Similar handles show up on the British razors of that period.

That's a fairly typical post-war Canadian Tech. Date codes don't show up until a bit later. Those don't shave too differently from the USA version, which is fine.

The pre-war Canadian Tech, with triangle-shaped slots, seems to shave a bit closer than the USA version to me. That is the Canadian Tech I have got.
