Hey gang,

Been a wet-shaver for 40 years but this week was my first foray into a safety razor/DE with brush etc.

After lurking here and elsewhere for a while plus lots of YouTube vids, I opted to stick with one brand for starters: a MÜHLE R89 Twist, Rytmo Black Fiber Synthetic brush, stainless stand for both and their Sea Buckthorn soap. I have a sampler package of blades coming from West Coast Shaving (actually waiting for me in the mailbox as I write this) and also picked up a ceramic bowl with a textured/unglazed interior. Looking forward to how the various blades change things as I try to hone in of a set-up that works best for me.

First two shaves down with no nicks (yet).

Ya know, as humble as I am, I still cain't argue with a genius! I have a good feeling about this @Hort fellow.

Only problem I foresee is his name is a four letter werd in my native tongue!
