So the slim adjustable is still not operating. Been soaking all day. Any thoughts from the experts?

Keep soaking it and once in a while try turning. It *will* eventually loosen and free up. Be sure to use scrubbing bubbles, too (not the generic knock-off brand) and let it soak for a long time.

Others have had luck with CLR. I haven't used it so I can't say how well it works.

Keep at it. It will free up.

Oh and get a good stiff bristled toothbrush and work on it.

Try some barbicide it will both sterilize and lubricate. It can be bought at a beauty supply store.

What part doesn't work? The TTO mechanism, or the adjuster ring? Looks like there is some corrosion on the Slim, you might need some WD40 if parts are stuck.

No one here giving you advice knew what they know till someone told them.
Don't be shy about asking, we'd all rather have you ask questions than either get frustrated or perhaps damage your great finds!
