Crystal blades inconsistent?

So far I have found them to be a slightly duller version of the Red IP, correspondingly slightly smoother as well. Sharper than the Dorco 301 and the Blue ASR Personna.

I can get 5 shaves out of a blade but the first two are the best. A nice mix of sharpness and smoothness, but I still like the slightly sharper Derbys and Red IPs better.

I cork the crystals as a matter of course. They are good blades but can be a bit rough. Once I run them through the cork, no problems.
