Smoking a corn dog in aviators and a top hat
Phillies has a new line out called Krome, and my sister bought me a whole bunch because she wanted to smell them, so I'm working my way through them. I can't say how they compare to regular Phillies, because I've never tried them, but for flavored gas station cigars, they're not too bad. I didn't care too much for the naturals, but the flavored ones are ok.

Macanudo Gold Label Lord Nelson

I just completely restocked my humidors the past week. I decided to throw the older contents into one humi and all of the new stuff into the other one. Both are now fully stocked. I picked this guy out because I still have a couple of cigars that I took the plastic off of, which I have since decided that I don't want to do.

Ah, the age-old "cello on or cello off?" debate! (I leave mine on.)

On a side note... why are torch lighters so awful?

My Bugatti B-1 lasted all of one cigar before it started to act up. I'd be better off getting like 10 Ronsons. Thankfully, I only paid like $10 or $12 for it. I'll fiddle with it some more before I cash in on the warranty.

Do you know how to properly bleed and fill it?

I remember the mid to late 1990s when every gas station had dozens of different torch lighters on display at the cash register. You'd buy one for $3, it would work great until it ran out of fuel, and then you'd laugh at the idea of refilling it and just buy a new one. Now you have to pay $20 to $200 and they don't work well.

I do have one that's dependable. It was a souvenir brought back from Portugal for me. Apparently they have better ones there than we have here. It looks approximately like a cheap classic plastic Bic with no safety lockout. Looks kinda similar to these:

Stepping outside of the pocket lighter form-factor, $4 Bernz-o-Matic flex-neck torch lighters sold for BBQ and candle lighting treat me well (but are ergonomically imperfect for cigars), and a $9 mini-torch from Harbor Freight runs dependably on the cheapest Walmart crap fuel while lighting cigars easily (but quality can still suffer -- the first one I bought fell apart the second time I used it and they replaced it for free...the second one has worked great for years.).

I know all about bleeding and filling. I have zero issues with my IM Corona Old Boy, for example.

This was my first fill with the Bugatti. It lights, but then immediately dies out a second or two later and then won't light again. I'll bleed it and try refilling it later and try a couple other things. It's just annoying because I just got the damned thing.

i have had everything from ronsons, numerous Zikar's, Prometheus, and everything in between.

If I knew then what i know now, i would have bought a St. Dupont Maxijet in black or navy and be done with it.

My SDMJ has not misfired ONE TIME, EVER! It's astonishingly precise depending on distance, stingy with fuel, and it is one of the few lighters that doesn't sputter when the fuel tank is low.......if you purge and fill, it will use ever last bit of fume in my lighter. Wind? I OWN IT!

The kicker was that I got in flea-bay after the holidays for 50% OFF from an authorized dealer. $100 for the best lighter i have ever used is a bargain, especially considering how many exchanges and returns with Zikar.

Had 2 new sticks tonight. One after dinner and another after the kiddos and wife went to bed. First a Romeo Y Juliet Reserve Churchill and then a Graycliff Platinum Series Robusto. They were both fantastic. The Graycliff started out pretty spicy but it smoothed out to a great combination of spice, earth and cedarafter the first 1/2 inch.
