I found a company in the states that sells industrial double edge blades. From their website: "Used for cutting hard and laminated films that wear a lot on the blade."

I've given this more thought and given how Kai package their blades, their is always a chance, however unlikely that they can be tampered with. How unlikely? I guess it's time to revisit limits in Calculus. Somewhere near but not quite zero. Still, it's an acceptable risk that I'm good to assume.

Totally agree. I’m old enough to remember the Tylenol tampering disaster in the early 1980’s.
One of the results of that was introducing additional security measures.

Well, I definitely wouldn’t advise swallowing a Kai razor blade, for this and other reasons.

Manual triage only. Any items that could be unwrapped would go directly in the waste bin.
Putting my Info Sec hat on....it all comes down to acceptable risk and who wants to own that risk.

Kai blades, I really like them and I'm willing to accept the risk.
