DE SOTD, Thursday, March 28th 2024, #88 of 88/366 consecutive daily shaves!

Razor : Yaqi 2nd generation Mellon 316SSP head with my 2nd purchased Yaqi Chippendale 316SSP handle (Darwin handle looking, close to resemblance to that time era for "The Grande shave King razor",1940's existence)-
Mfg 2023>, mid range. What a nice well machined and finished razor head with excellent QC. The audio feed back is a nice sizzling sound of snipped whiskers is best way to describe it. The razor is delightful to use and performs well + results do no lie. Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : GSB (2) sharp and Smoooth with reasonable longevity. Very nice blade to use on 1-3 shaves for excellent results on my beard mostly.
Soap : Razorock Santa Mari del Fiore, nice vanilla light tobacco scented soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Orbital ring" 24 mm boar bristle. Excellent lather generator, soft split end boar bristle hairs, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock MF splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : Dial 10 stellar.jpg or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=:a17: Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Melon razor with a GSB blade. Lots of stellar close shaves lately, not complaining just observing!

Have some great shaves!

Thursday 28th March, shave #88

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Nivea Men Shaving Creme
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC.84 SB, Al Handle, Astra SP #7
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Proraso Sensitive Balm

I used Nivea cream for a change, and got an easy DFS. This blade is still OK, and might see the month out.

Razor:
Muhle R41
Blade: Personna 74(57)
Brush: Yaqi Moka-Express 2 band
Soap: TFS Rasozero Barbaccio
A/S: Davidoff Cool Water
Post Shave: Nivea Hyaluron Gel

One more shave under the belt with the P74 blade and it is definitely showing its legendary status now. I'm just three shaves short of equaling my all time record of 60 shaves with a blade. Still providing a good finish for now so I'll crack on and see if I can break my record.
I'm not sure if anyone noticed the lack of the Proraso Green balm but I think I forgot to mention that I finished it on Tuesday night so that is the last of my balm and I will not be replacing it.

Razor: Enders Speed Razor + Hendrix Classics & Co 'Regular' Adapter
Blade: Schick Proline B (5 shaves, 11 passes)
Brush: Rudy Vey Irish Bog Oak (Mühle 25mm STF)
Bowl: Captain's Choice Copper
Lather: Taconic Shave Cream Bay Rum
Aftershave: Clubman Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum

Shave 5 with this week's kit. The Enders/Hendrix/Proline combination provided a nice 2-Pass CCS++ shave. I like the Enders/Hendrix razor and will continue to use it occasionally.

Friday 29th March, shave #89

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat (Tallow)
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: Rockwell 6S R5, Ti Handle, Boots #1
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm

I used the Rockwell for a change. The Boots blade is a rebadged Personna. After using Astras, it didn't feel as smooth, but provided an effective DFS.

Another 3017 shave with the Barbaccio and the 58th with the P74 blade. There is still no sign of the blade giving up on me and I hope I will be able to get a few more shaves out of it as my 60 shave record has stood for a couple of years now. Though it would be nice to start using up some of my blade stash I am still looking forward to seeing how much further I can push the P74
