I have all I want (unless something just catches my eye) and haven't bought a razor in 3 years.
I have

'47 Super Speed
'48 Super Speed (My everday razor)
'70 Super Speed
'61 Fatboy
2 Gillette NEW's with one in case
2 Gillette Tech's
Contraption called a "Segar" which will not accept blades

That is enough for me!

Found my razor, the Tech. Nothing else works quite as well for me. I am in the process of releasing all other razors back to the wild.

I am done shopping for razors. I will keep 2 Techs, and possibly a Slim.

I slowed down a lot, but that is just because I am more picky now.

Same here, Rodd. After accumulating many nice models, I can now "afford" to be more selective and I like the hunt of the models I covet and hope to acquire someday. If not, I'd be pretty happy anyway.

And then there are straights - my newest interest. Trouble ahead!!

I still like to buy them if I see them. It's the thrill of the hunt, to walk into a place a find lots of cool razors. Although I've trimmed down what I'm looking for, mostly Fatboys/slims and 1932 Tech razors. I find the shaves I get from these razors very good. I also like the late 1940's, early 1950's Super Speeds. But I pass on Gillettes from the very late 1960s, early 1970s all the way up to the 1980s. Also if a razor is $5 or less and in pretty good shape, I will usually buy them too. I've found loads in the last 4 months, and almost all of them were between $2-$5.

Um. I think the 1932 Tech that you are referring to is a Canadian Tech from 1938-mid 1940's. The 1932 date was the Canadian patent date. They were not actually produced until later.

hi all
i have had a real bad case of rad for a while , few years .did think i had a issue with them for sure , now that i found this site and a few more sites i don't feel so bad about it think i will have to go up to the attic and have a count up , its going to be bad , , been buying them from all over the place.

I hear ya on the Tech. it's my current favorite....half of my razor stash consists of Techs. although, for the sake of the hunt i'm gonna hold onto my others just in case the shavepocalypse comes
