Will the big names redo DE shaving?

If someone really wants Gillette to go back to quality DE manufacturing it is not that hard to achieve!

Just buy P&G and make it happen !!

Hopefully environmental concerns will wake up P&G ( and a whole lot of other companies) and change they way they over manufacter and package goods. We need a simpler less throw away life.

You would think with everyone on the green bandwagon, someone would step up and start to reproduce SE and DE razors and blades. I'm sure old used blades could be melted and reproduced into new razor blades. Before anyone suggests the cost factor think about this-they want to make us pay a carbon tax with the tag line "its for the environment so suck it." They could do the same thing with razor blades. Put a deposit on it like aluminum cans and some bottled goods in various states. Turn them in, get your deposit back. I'd do it not because I'm an environmentalist but because we need to find more ways of being responsible with what we have.

A company markets to the largest possible crowd. It's surprising as hell that AoS still exists (I had no idea it was owned by P&G).

AOS doesn't exist for the type of consumer the average member of B&B represents. They cater to the folks that don't really know anything about shaving. They see those pretty razor handles and just have to buy one.

P&G just recently bought AOS, though Gillette had some marketing relationship with them prior to that.
