Wilkinson Sword?

I think there's some confusion regarding the "Indian Wilkinson's" as there are two packs that look similar. There's the cheaper ones and then there's the Premium Plus which are Chromium coated:

I have some WS, in a white pack of 5, no idea where they were made. I found they nicked me a lot, at first I thought it was my technique, but I swapped to Derbys and now I am nick free.

I used in past the Wilkinson black label: the best according to me. Imagine the sharp edge of Feather, with the sweetness moreover, and which lasts 7 in 10 shavings. Problem: we do not find them any more in Europe.

White labels, made in Germany, have in no way this quality level. I use Astra and Iridium, excellent to my taste.

I used up a pack of WS. They were good blades some of the time, but seemed to be inconsistent from blade to blade. Most of the pack gave me good shaves but a few were butcher knives. Not a blade I'd use again.

I have to agree. Got a five pack of "white labels" with their "Classic" razor in Germany December 2009. First blade was OK, but subsequent blades tore me up.

I think these are poor.... Which is a shame as they are the easiest to buy on the high street in the uk. I have heard good reports about the old uk made blades. I think anyone caught short in the uk should hive the tesco blade a try. I'm very impressed by these!

Some people like them but my own opinion:

The German-made WS (widely available in the UK) are rubbish and not worth the money.View attachment 104691
The "EU-made" Wilkinson economie are no better and are only available through internet vendors.View attachment 104692
The Indian-made Wilkinsons are pretty good and inexpensive (several vendors on ebay and at least one B&B member who retails them in the USA)View attachment 104693
The NOS UK-made Wilkinsons are excellent if you can get hold of them. I believe the UK factory closed ~2000 but you still sometimes see the blades appear on internet auctions.

Wilkinson sword blades were my first blades I ever tried and they still give me a decent shave. Its nice to know that I can get a decent blade at BI-mart whenever I need one

I popped open a five pack of the Indian Wilkinsons I got for free with an order from Bullgoose as I was changing blades is a couple of razors. The first thing that popped out was a black 7 O'clock Gillette. The other four have Wilkinson wrapping on them. Same blade or just the same factory?

I love the Wilkinson Sword UK label. DFS shaves everytime. Only downside is they're a little pricy.
Not when you find 45 of them for $2 at a Goodwill store like I did! A lifetime supply of these may be the only DE blades that would make me give up my beloved single edge razors.

I have used these cheap Indian blades and find the shave excellent - comparable to one of my faves, the Indian green Gillette 7 O'Clocks. Unfortunately, the included black Gillette is in my opinion rubbish thereby negating the cost savings.

White-label (German) Wilkesons are serviceable, but nothing special.
