Ran across a listing for Gillette Silver Blues. I think these may be the old type. Worth the gamble.

How can you tell if they are the old or new type? I have a 100 pack....I think it said 2023 idk ill have to check the box again. Have not touched GSBs in a couple months.
The dot in the 'i' in Gillette is a perfect circle in the older blades. Around 2017/2018, the dot became more of a slanted shape.
Some people believe the comfort and feel of the older blades are preferable. I can't really tell the difference myself but I have not used the old ones enough to have a reasonable opinion. I do know the old GSBs are priced at a premium by resellers and hard to find even then, so I buy them whenever I see them.
nice ill have to check mine. They were reasonably priced at 15 dollars for 100 so maybe they arent the old ones. Ill have to dig them out of the stash and check later.
I can't discern much difference between them. I have more than enough of both.

I got a haircut during lunch today at a barbershop. I asked if they had an DE blades to sell, thinking maybe they had a few tucks of Personna or Dorco. Score! My barber dug in his display and said I'm the first one that has asked him personally for blades in a few years.
11/10/23 is the date on the tucks, so these are actually manufactured recently unlike some ASCO Platinums I bought a couple of weeks ago that were dated 2013 or 2014.
And get this, the barber was surprised I wanted the whole hundred pack instead of just 2-3 tucks. I guess I am a B&B weirdo.

yeah the 200 I picked up recently said 2017 on them. Thats cool that your barber was selling DE! I wonder if the barbershop thats within walking distance offers them. I would assume not all of them would be willing to sell to customers though. And not all of them keep shaving supplies around.
I agree! I think that Mammutlesto will think so too. They are definitely a cut above the regular Dorco blades (which really are not bad blades).

I hope that they are! I was fortunate enough to take an extreme liking to the GSB early on and acquired a nice quantity of them. Nice to see investments paying off.
I do the same when I am short. I refuse to pay for shipping or a Prime Membership!
I keep a membership really for the streaming video. I'm watching Jack Reacher, season 3, right now.
