What's your coffee today? What brew method? Photos

Good morning, folks! Listening and watching Miles Davis play live on YouTube. Drank a cup of some Backbone Coffee I got in the mail yesterday. It’s called Jack of All Trades beans (medium roast) brewed by the Moccamaster and enjoyed black. I really like this coffee. I’m loving this time of year with all the Christmas stuff going on. A kind gesture can do wonders for someone, even just as simple as a smile 😊. Cheers to you all and may the ever blessed light of your wildest dreams shine through to your waking day. Be the change you wish to see - peace 🕊️🌈🙏

Good morning, coffee crew.

It's a rainy morning here in Music City. We're heading up to about 58° today. It looks like we have more showers rolling in this afternoon. About 7 hours of sleep last night. The rain hitting my bedroom window actually woke me up. I spent some quiet time in prayer and did some breathing exercises before getting out of bed. A peaceful way to start the day. Not much going on other than my 6-9pm session at the studio.

Have a blessed Tuesday, my friends.

Good morning fellas

Emptied a bag of Panama Red, made in the Bunn. A bit of Coffee Rich was added.

I remember the first time I heard Kind of Blue by Miles. That album pulled me into a different world. I was probably in my mid 20s then. I miss Tower Records. I don't miss the Gillette Sensor Excel or the Edge Gel I was using then though, ha.

Have a blessed one, Bill.
Tower Records was the jam back in the day. Love Kind of Blue, it’s the album that got me into Miles. Then, the world of jazz opened up to me and I’ve been hooked since. Shaving in my twenties was done in the Navy and I remember using the worst shave prep; basically use worn out razor and scrape my face with it…dang it was a bloody mess lol 😂!

Have a blessed day, Eric.

I have some nice Klatch Panama Elida Catuai Natural after lunch today. I made it in a small V60 with three pours. I hope everybody is having a nice week, we have been in the '60s during the day and cool overnight. The weather is going to change late tomorrow!

I have been experimenting with my caffeine tolerance over the past couple months and have finally landed on an admittedly small dose that I can tolerate without side effects. It works out to 90-100mg of caffeine whereas an espresso is 110mg, which I can tolerate well. I still have some impact on my sleep from this, but I am also not having it every day out of caution.

A pleasure to see you in this thread again, coffee crew co-founder. :)☕

Hello all.

Some bad, some good. On the bad side, the Major again spent most of the day in the bedroom, in bed, doing his best to avoid further injuring his damaged limbs. And, he wasn't entirely successful in this, seeing as how he managed to trip backwards over his knee scooter, earning himself a nice scrape on his bottom in the process. Nothing that time won't heal. Then again, time wounds all heels, now, doesn't it?

On the good side of the ledger, the Major was able to proceed, slowly & VERY carefully, downstairs for dinner w/his CO & youngest stepson. It was definitely a nice change for him to be downstairs, so he celebrated with some chocolate & vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Another positive was that the Major's CO once again provided him with a cooler containing breakfast & lunch, & a pint of hot coffee - Green Mountain Nantucket Blend. The Major knows how insanely lucky he is in having this particular CO.

It's 35° in Music City right now with a high around 46° today. I'm seeing plenty of highs in the 50s next week which will be nice. Partly cloudy. About 6 hours of sleep last night. Our session went well last night. Back in the studio on Thursday evening for a co-write. The 49ers/Rams game will be on in the background. Off today, so I'm just staying home and relaxing. I have to take my mother in for her yearly physical tomorrow morning at St. Thomas hospital. Her results always come back great but please keep her in your prayers, friends. Making another batch of steak chili in the crock for dinner this evening. I'm going to roast a few Poblano peppers, dice them up and toss them in as well.

Have a blessed Wednesday, crew.
