What straight did you use today? Now with PICTURES

Wade and Butcher. I learned I do not like narrow blades. 7/10 close. 2/10 comfort. First real nick on my neck under my ear. I didn’t control the blade angle as well as I do with my 7/8. This will sit on display in my medicine cabinet until I’ve improved my control. Do any of you find thicker blades easier to shave with?

I wouldn’t say I find thicker blades easier to shave with. I do find them more forgiving though and definitely require a lighter touch. The weight or heft of the razor if you will does the work, you just point it in the right direction IMHO.

I have several in the 5/8ths range and find them efficient and maneuverable. Some with heavier grinds also, which I prefer. In contrast I had to adjust to a recent 7/8ths purchase, which is unfamiliar to me. 6/8ths might be the sweet spot.
