This is the first synthetic brush that I am enjoying. I was having trouble getting the brush to splay until I just forced my hand to mash it down. Things have now improved.

Beautiful set!View attachment 2030675Got to try out one of my Solingen seven day set razors.
A true bummer, sorry to hear that, but glad you think it’s repairable. FWIW in my haste walking from my mailbox opening a new razor which promptly exited its coffin through an open end flap and landed on pavement cracking the scales. At least there were no injuries.Tonight's shave left me feeling a bit sick. I used the Roman Kamlash 15/16 Ikigai custom bellied hollow - one of my favorites. As I started the third and final pass, I lost my grip on the razor for an instant and had to let it fall. I wasn't about to pull an @Stapelfeld and try to catch it. It clattered into the sink and left a large chip near the middle of the edge! I'll repair it, but I think my 15/16 Ikigai will be a 7/8 when I'm done. Otherwise it was a great shave, Adopted Acres Mint Cherry Barbershop shave soap, Stirling boar brush and Clubman Reserve Whiskey Woods AS.

Edit: I should add - it was my third shave with this razor!
Any thoughts on the origins are welcome!
Don't know enough to comment, but I do like it!
