A two-pass BBS with a little buffing. I'm getting a little tenderness after 7 straight shaves with the Rocket, but, it was still a very nice shave.

Decent 7.5/10 shave today. Second pass ATG wasn't as smooth as I would hope for, but no nicks thankfully. I think this is the last time I'm using the Cella preshave gel. I tried the bio gel in the past, but they both reek of alcohol, to the point I cough and sneeze when putting it on. I did get some splotchy irritation on my neck today... I wonder if that was partly the preshave gel as well? Thankfully my father likes this preshave gel so I'll give it to him.

My Menthol Madness Monday S.O.T.D today consisted of......

Razor's Henson & Charcoal Goods Brass Stinger.
Blade Iridium super.
Aftershave Folk Soap Bay Rum.

Today's shave was another run with this tuck of Iridium super blades.
They have all been awful and harsh, I am so convinced that it's either a Fake or duff tuck because the reviews say this blade rocks.
I have just ordered 200 from Connaught because the real ones can't be this bad.
Watch this space.

a solid 4.5/10 shave.

SR: Kirby, Beard & Co. SCL Head 1936 (FR) -

Though traceable since 1816, Kirby, Beard & Co. still holds a measure of mystery.
They started in England, but achieved getting a major retail store in Paris. After many years making needles and pins, as well some jewelry, they saw a new business opportunity in selling safety razors.
Apparently it was Leresche, a french company with skillful technique and experience, that made exclusive models for KBC.
This razor of mine which dates back to 1936 has a magnificent distinctive scalloped top cap and an art déco handle which evokes Darwin's. Everything in it perspires class with an excellent quality construction.
It shaves well and smoothly. It is on the mild side with medium efficiency. Still a pleasure to use and look at.

As usual, the Perma-Sharp is a little past its best for shave four, the result was still good though.
