Cold water shave as a wake up call this morning.

This is my 4th consecutive shave with this set-up and the blade is past its best for sure.

Still a decent outcome though, I’ll rate the shave 9/10 and keep to three shaves with the Perma-Sharp in future.

Bowls: Phoenix Shaving scuttle for lathering. Timeless Blue bowl for rinsing razor(s) with boiled tap water.

Post Shave: Witch Hazel Dollar Tree’s brand Aqua Velva Musk WCS Alum Stick (Philippines)

Quality: DFS+ Nicks: 0 Weepers: 0 Stubble: Very light

Comments: This morning, I had my first ever shave using an ASCO blade. While a sample of one is not representative, I was quite pleased with the result. Getting ready to take our dog to a vet routine vet appointment, and preparing for some approaching severe storms.

My Thursday morning shave went okay. There was no blood, there was a small red patch on my left cheek near my nose and still a little sting when I used my Alum Block. The Kai blade is still doing what it’s supposed to do after shave number eleven. I have three shaves to go to Sunday and I am still pretty hoped of getting there. Todays rating is still a healthy 8/10.

The Astra SP performed very nicely in the R41 this morning, everything was outstanding. I’m rating this shave a 10/10.

Rockwell 6S using plate #2 - I typically use plate #4 the most and haven’t used less than a 4 in a long time but I found the 2 paired with GSB beautifully! Very nice shave and I think I’ll experiment some more with plates 2 & 3 because I don’t go for BBS and rather enjoy shaving daily. If I go for BBS that means ATG on the neck = irritation usually which then = a day off of shaving. So there you have it, a 9.5/10 DFS.
