One day beard growth.

Day 1 of retirement! Nothing pressing to do, but got up early and shaved anyway, because I like to.

Quick shave. Not really trying for pickups or really focusing on getting every little area. I am trying to use up a can of Proraso shaving cream I picked up at an Amazon return store.

Three passes:

WTG, XTG, ATG and one clean-up pass.

No nicks.
No weepers.
No irritation.
DFS+ shave.

Have some great shaves!
Congrats on retirement! And I see you use a Ranger Tech also. Congrats again sir!

Might be the last day for this blade

Prep: Hot Shower/Amish beard oil
Razor: HLS Polished Titanium Taiga
Blade: Rapira SS (1)
Cream: CF 1445
Brush: HLS Polished Titanium 2band finest WT badger
Lather Bowl: CC Obsidian
Alum Stick: Sprouts mineral block
Aftershave: CF 1445 Balm
Quality: Slick BBS
Comments: 2 day growth on coarse beard/sensitive skin. Good shave. Went with the same 1445 cream and balm, love the scent, but the skin reaction/feeling is ok. Again, I feel like I’ll be shifting from cream and balms away all together, just not my cup of tea. Soap and splash works best. Went back to Rapira SS and wow-butterfly smooth and extremely sharp, so sharp that I got carried away with my Taiga OC and got few nicks:) Rapira SS, you don’t feel the blade at all, so smooth-no skin irritation.
Rating: 9.1/10

Nivea cream+ Aloe Vera handsoap superlather
Proraso Alum
Floid a/s

Two pass face shave. BBS
Several weepers on neck that needed alum treatment. I was used to mellowed out Rubie blade of OBIF and mild razors. Now sharp blade and aggressive razor gave red dots.

Razor: Rocnel 304
Blade: Wilkinson Sword Germany, 1st use
Brush: Razorock Beehive
Bowl: Cayuen Dark Nebula Bowl
Soap: Razorock Nomad
Aftershave: Razorock Nomad
Balm: Stirling Unscented
Additional Care: Thayers Witch Hazel (Unscented)

First shave with the Rocnel 304. The architecture of this razor is very unique, even a bit strange, with a flat, blind baseplate, narrow top cap and huge reveal. Surprisingly, the comfort is very high with only minimal blade feel. Conversely, the efficiency is fairly middling. Overall, an enjoyable shave. Tomorrow, I’ll try to amp up efficiency with a Dorco Prome. DFS+

Wishing you a peaceful day.

March 4, 2025 Tuesday shave

Razor: Karve Overlander, stainless steel
Blade: Personna Lab Blue (4)
Soap: Stirling Scots Pine Sheep sample (26)
Brush: Yaqi 24mm Sagrada Familia
Bowl: Captain's Choice copper
Aftershave: Fine Snake Bite

This was a good shave, although a little exhausting. I'm still fighting a stubborn illness.
There may be one more shave left in the Stirling soap sample, maybe... It's great soap.
No issues to report, just an easy and satisfying shave. 10/10

Razor: Above The Tie S1 Slant (Blackland made)
Pre-shave: Proraso Blue Protective
Blade: Personna Comfort Coated
Soap: SV 70th Anniversary
Brush: Captains Choice Custom Synthetic
Bowl: Captain's Choice Copper Travel bowl
Aftershave: SV 70th Anniversary

Second shave with the new ATT S1 Slant. First slant razor I've tried. Face shave today was sublime. Wonderful smooth passes. Able to do WTG, ATG and XTG with no nicks or irritation.

One of the nicest shaves I've ever had. I rate this as an 8/10. DFS and almost BBS which I never tried for up to now.
