Razor : Yaqi Romulus 316 SSP head with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2024>, tame mid range to mid range depending on blades used. Excellent machining, finish and design. Open comb fives a little more blade feel than the The Romulus straight bar variant.
Blade : Kai Captain Titian mild pink(7) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity. Using up some shaves from a old blade that has some life left in it.
Soap : TOBS herbal sandalwood, nice scented soap with some of the best lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "barber pole" 24mm 2band badger. Excellent brush for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel soap residual beard cleanse + Ogallala Bay Rum & Sandal wood + a dollop of Geo F Trumper sandalwood skin food.
Results : Dial 9.5.jpg or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=:a17: Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE razor with a Kai CTMP blade.

Razor: Gillette Tech (pre-war Canadian model)
Blade: Big Ben (3)
Brush: Semogue 1250 boar
P/S: Prep pre-shave cream (Italian)
Soap: Haslinger Sensitive
A/S: Dickinson's witch hazel
A/S: Epsilon Blue

DFS+

Comfy shave. I'll retire this Big Ben blade after three uses. They seem better suited to more aggressive razors, IMHO. Very smooth & adequately sharp.

Today is 01-18-2025, Shave Report

Razor: 1956 Ball-End Tech
Blade: Durablade 7 AM Plus Hi Platinum, Day 3 use.
Soap/Cream: Cremo Classic Citrus (Secret Sent)
Bowl: N/A
Brush/Instrument: Fingers
Extra Stuff: Witch Hazel

Still using my 1956 Ball-End Tech again, IMHO is amazing Razor, this Razor was PIF thanks to @gpjoe.

Did a three pass Shave today, Against, With, & Across the Grain, using a Durablade 7 AM Plus Hi Platinum, there was some slight blade feel, blade just glided, removed Beard with ease. Blade did not make me say wow, it’s not a Grail Blade, but worked good today, it’s starting to get dull, so I will use Sunday, and see if it goes to Monday. Not a BAD Blade, but will not stand in line to buy again.

Wish this Ball End Tech - Razor was a tad more aggressive, and had more blade feel. Shave was 9.6, not BBS, but still DamFine Shave. This was third time using this Blade, found one in my Orphan Blade Ziplock.

Still working on a Tube of Cremo Citrus, personally still get NO TRUE CITRUS Sent IMHO. Being fair there could be Citrus aroma in my dreams, but it is not a strong in your face scent that yells Citrus. Positive of Cremo is it does leave face soft post Shave use.

Old Vintage Gillette’s, are good Razor’s, still working well enough to put a big smile on my face. These Old Vintage Ball-End Tech’s are an underestimated work horse, could be almost Grail Razor at 66 year young. I am a Vintage Gillette Junkie, they work well with Sharp New Quality Blade IMHO. Color me HAPPY.

SV Saturday
Semogue Saturdays!

Hello friends

A hot and rainy Saturday. As the last shave of this week's SOTD I chose an imaginary trip to the forest and SV Felce Aromatica took me to the woods with the Semogue SOC Finest Badger in tune with the phenomenal BADGERary 2025. Greencult 2.0 IV and Gillette Nacet (4) removed the disposable waste from my soul. I finished with the classic Brut Original fougère.

With us, an icon of the tenor sax, Coleman Hawkins.

Have a wonderful weekend and great shaves!

Razor: Colonial Razors The General V2 (Timeless Crown TRH8 Ti Handle)
Blade: Schick Proline P (Shaves: 12, Passes: 26)
20250112_110110~2.jpg

Brush: Semogue Owners Club Taj Resin
Bowl: Captain's Choice Copper
Lather: Taconic Shave Bay Rum Cream
Post-shave Balm: Nivea
Aftershave: Clubman Pinaud Special Reserve

Same kit as yesterday! :001_wub:

Superb 2-Pass DFS+

Evening, today's shave:

Razor: Wolfman Guerilla aluminum .69 straight bar
Blade: Super Max (1)
Pre: Hot Water
Soap: Antiga Barbearia de Bairro Essentials
Brush: Omega Boar Pro
Aftershave: Clubman Pinaud
Post: n/a

Had a few days growth. Quick hot water splash for prep, and a perfect irritation free 3 pass shave. This soap is fantastic. The Guerilla with the Super Max is just a really smooth shave. May be of interest, I find this one really glides effortlessly with a bit of bias towards the cap.

10/10

Cheers
