2nd shave with the V1. The shave plane is flat and broad which creates a lovely hugging sensation, without feeling like drag. Despite the published neutral exposure there is a satisfying amount of blade feel. The V1 is a pure blade bender, but because the clamp width is narrow at just 8mm (Blackbird is 7mm) it creates a steep bend with high efficiency. The comfort is high with zero irritation. The weight and nurling feel great. Loving this razor. Didn’t want the shave to end. Had some workman in the house today so was a little distracted during the shave. Still, a full BBS.

Wishing you a restful day.

Wow is all i gotta say! I found out today that my plastic safety razors (Phantom and Crimson Ghost) are what i need to get an irritation free shave. It was the metal handles and heads that were causing my heavy handedness. The two plastic razors i have from Pheonix Shaving are just what the doctor ordered.
Today i used the Phantom razor with a Feather blade, Brave One shave soap, Viking brush, large coffee mug and lukewarm water. 10/10 shave and i am letting my upper lip grow some facial hair so all is swell with me. Praying you fellers are doing splendidly! Peace 🕊️🌈🍕🐶🍦

It's been awhile since I've used this razor, so brought it out for the last week of the year. Tried the wood handle which I think is an improvement over the standard Piccolo handle, giving better control. Close shave today, though I didn't really push it.

Lots of blade feel with this one, but not to an uncomfortable extent. You definitely know what the blade is doing, though. Everything gets mowed down. Resistance is futile.

Have some great shaves!

Well today Thursday I used my Vintage 1962 H-2 Gillette Slim Adjustable at Setting 3, 4, and last 5, with a Gillette 7 O-Clock Permasharp Blade. Day Number Eight usage of Blade. This blade has not got dull, so I am using again Friday.

The Shave was almost as good as previous with the 7-0 Clock Blade, call it a 9.9, Very Good Shave. Blade does not seem to be getting DULL, so I plan to use again Wednesday Christmas Day. Can’t say nothing bade about Gillette 7-O Clock blades, all colors, all type get high marks.

Again used the Cremo Classic today, tried doing two applications, and two passes. Think I found the best way for me to use this product with great result, think you got to reapply a little more Cremo between passes for optimal results.

The Cremo is very slippery, but you got to reapply between passes to get good results. IMHO. No way this Cremo tube is really a 90 Supply Tube? Maybe is you use One Almond Size Drop, but that don’t work if you reapply between passes.

Sixty two year old Vintage Slim Adjustable did great job, how could that be it not modern with Arm n Leg Price Tag. King C. Gillette made good Razors, IMHO. If you do not own a Vintage Gillette you’re missing out. One Great Razors at bargain basement prices. Can not see how any Modern Adjustable would work any better then this Vintage Slim, forgot how GREAT it shave as has not been used in over 4 months.

Today's shave:
Razor:
Rockwell Rose Gold T2 TTO Adjustable Razor (first shave)
Blade: Dorco Stainless ST300 (shave #1)
Brush: Razorock Big Bruce 26mm Plissoft
Cream: Williams Shave Soap
Result: Excellent 10/10 BBS shave

Today's shave was the first with my new Rockwell Rose Gold T2 adjustable razor (Photo linked below). This was a holiday gift from my son. This is the closest current production razor to the Gillette Super Adjustable I used during my college days with the same type of adjustment mechanism.

I started with a pre-shave face wash and then whipped up some great Williams lather in my apothecary mug finishing the process via face lathering. I set the razor at setting #3 for this first shave, slightly milder than my Weishi 9306 but more aggressive than the really mild King C. Gillette. This allowed a comfortable 10/10 2+ pass BBS without the extra "riding the cap" touch up required by my King C. Gillette. I was especially impressed by how smooth the shave was.

This is an excellent razor with the classic Gillette style adjustment mechanism. Compared to my Razorock Adjust, that uses the same type of mechanism, it has a wider adjustment range and a much smoother mechanism. Also the dial is numbered from 1 to 6 making it easier to use one's preferred setting. Overall it is a mild to moderately aggressive razor based on adjustment setting. The TTO mechanism is very smooth and overall Rose Gold finish is nicely done. The finish is closer to Gold than to Rose and of higher quality than the Razorock Adjust. As it should be given this is typically a $100-$150 razor versus the under $15 Razorock Adjust. Note that the blade placement in the razor is much more precise than my other razors though there is still a small amount of play that one has to look for to ensure the blade is loaded in a balanced fashion.

This razor does provide a step up in precision and finish quality over my Razorock Adjust and to a lesser extent my non-adjustable TTO Weishi 9306 as one would expect given the difference in price points. While a different animial (3 piece vs. TTO adjustable) the King C.Gillette finish quality is just as good as this razor so I tip my hat to Gillette for delivering this type of quality for typically $20-$30.

Overall I'm very happy with this razor and will likely be using it a lot versus my others though my Weishi 9306 and King C. Gillette will still be in the rotation given how well they work. Not sure how often I'll use the Razorock adjust given that this duplicates everything it does at a higher quality and precision level. Fortunatelly at the $7.99 sale price it was purchased for the Adjust is somewhat of a disposable razor that perhaps I'll use for travel going forward.

I'll likely experiment with the T2 at different adjustment levels going forward.
