Notes
Airing out the Stirling Sheep for a few days helped significantly with the original smell. To keep it up, I mashed together in a spare shave mug the tub of Sheep and the remainder of my Naked & Smooth and Eucalyptus Mint samples. Eucalyptus Mint + Sheep shows a lot of promise. This should keep me going for a while

Col. Conk Fast Drying Lime shave soap / Omega 10065 boar brush / Dickinson Witch Hazel followed with Brut aftershave. Decent 2 pass shave. I had some Conk Bay Rum soap awhile back that lasted forever and was a good soap. It was translucent. This solid, green Lime is on a par with Trumper soap. Don't know which would evaporate faster.

Pre: Noxzema Classic Shave & Stirling Unscented Pre-Shave Bar
Razor: RazoRock SS Hawk v3 w/Timeless Ti Crown Handle
Blade: Kai Captain Titan Mild (2)
Soap: B&M Spice
Brush: AP Shave Golden Butterscotch G5C 24mm
Bowl: Timeless
Post-Shave: Speick Splash

Amazing shave, 9/10. I am really enjoying the RR Hawk. It's definitely a bit too mild for me, but I ordered the "A" plate recently, along with some Schick Proline P-30s, and can't wait to try it. I can already tell that the AC razor experiment is going to be a blast.

2 shave update (little behind)

Father’s Day shave 6/16/24
Pre: shower
Soap: Stirling Orange Chill
Brush: 20+ year old Vulfix
Razor: Game Changer .68
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
A/S: Stirling unscented aftershave & Stirling orange chill witch hazel & aloe
Moisturizer: Kiehl’s facial fuel

Face: 3/3
Neck: 3/3
Nicks/irritation and weepers: 2.9

Zen: 1/1

9.9/10

2 passes WTG/ATG neck and jawline 3rd XTG. Very satisfying shave and a great start to Father’s Day. Just the slightest bit of irritation on the bottom right side of my neck kept it from being a 10/10.

Late night shave 6/17/24 (12:30 am 6/18/24)

Pre: shower
Soap: La Toja
Brush: 20+ year old Vulfix
Razor: Game Changer .68
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
A/S: Stirling unscented aftershave & Clinique post-shave soother
Moisturizer: Kiehl’s facial fuel

Face: 2.9/3
Neck: 2.75/3
Nicks/irritation and weepers: 3
Zen: 1/1

9.65/10

2 passes WTG/ATG; neck and jawline 3rd XTG, no cleanup needed. Zero irritation; lather isn’t as luxurious as other soaps but the La Toja just works.

1950s Gillette Tech
Personna #1
Yaqi Sagrada Familia 22mm synthetic brush
Proraso Single Edge, Wood and Spice cream
Malizia Uomo Vetyver Aftershave

I love the Proraso cream. It produces a thick, slick and lasting lather, has enough menthol to tingle decently, and has the most amazing scent as well. It is perfect, but for the fact it's been discontinued. Get it while you can, folks!

I used the Personna blade and Tech razor combination for the first time, and I am cautiously optimistic... the shave was gentle, care-free and close.

The mood was helped along by Eden's House by Milky Chance and Ladysmith Black Mambazo - enjoyed it so much I played it again when it finished.

Face - 2.9/3 almost perfect BBS
Neck - 2.8/3 DFS+
Weepers, Nicks, Irritation- 2.9 /3 (a bit of aftershave feedback)
Zen - 1/1
A solid 9.6 / 10

Proraso Wood & Spice is an amazing scent, one of my favourite.
