I learned that I would have a hard time telling my Athena and Blackbird apart in a blind test. Superb results today with the Athena and with the Blackbird yesterday. Fantastic shave weekend.
I was in a hurry and skipped prep. No shower and little time lead to an ingrown for the first time in years. I could feel the razor pulling rather than cutting. Prep is everything for me.
I learned if my blade feels scratchy, I’ll look like I used a scratchy blade. Also, I don’t like face-lathering ARKO! with warm water - it just doesn’t feel right.
I learned that for me a perfect shave seems elusive. There's a patch of stubble on the left side of my chin that will sometimes just randomly tug or resist the blade slightly. No matter the blade, razor, prep, days of growth or lack thereof. I use short strokes, long strokes, slanted strokes, guillotine strokes, and yet somedays my chin hair just offers a touch of resistance. Guess that's why everyone's growing goattees lol
The Game Changer .84OC is a monster of effectiveness and smoothness. That is deceptive however because it makes me step on the gas just a little too often.
