What did you hone today?

I honed my little John Barber razor today. It's pretty small, a little to light, and the scales are very flat, so it's not my favorite shaver.

But she honed nicely today. Started off on the King 6k, then onto the 8k and finished on the Canadian Lochinvar stone. I used the included slurry stone and then finished on clean water and the edge was very comfortable and the shave was close. This stone is slow, but I stayed with it until the edge came around.

Wanted to get the edge on this Sankan 1200 nailed. I think I did this time. The edge was never bad but I felt there was more to be had.

Jointed the edge and re-set the bevel with a Rockstar 2K the went to the Rockstar 6K. From there to the Jnat.

Botan-Tenjyo-Mejiro-Komo-Naykama Tomo. Base stone was a Oozuka Asagi

The edge seems very promising

I'll use a real old Chinese razor,
Most people only know that India copied old Chinese razors, which are garbage.

Pictured below, this is a modern Indian razor made of very low quality steel.

Wow that is cool and intimidating at the same time! I wouldn’t even think that was a razor if it wasn’t for this place.
