Personna Comfort Coated and Tatras
I have already collected several thousand units and at least 20 models of different blades. My favorites are:
Gillette Minora - Golden Shave, Perma-sharp, Gillette 7 o'clock - yellow, Feather
Exactly in that order
I have no idea, I have never used Mekur.Do you know the Gillette Minora performs in the Mekur slant? I've been using it lately and haven't been getting nicked up like I used to. I'm not quite sure if it's technique or blades. I've been enjoying using razor lately.
the ones I like are Gillette Minora - Golden Shave. I have also tried the ones in the yellow packaging, but they are different, not as smooth as the "Golden Shave"
Matt from Razor Emporium used to use Polsilver as his standard. He said once that when they stopped making them he switched to Perma-Sharp as they performed near identically. So all Rex Razors were designed around the Polsilver then Perma-Sharp blade to standardize performance. Of course now he no longer uses Perma-Sharp and has his own line of blades Rex Platinum which I suspect are very similar to the aboveIt is so unfortunate these are not produced anymore. Fortunately, I have a decent stash that will last me years.
I have no idea how anyone describes it, that's their right, but Golden Shave is definitely a different, better blade than the Minara in the yellow packaging. Plus, I managed to get a huge quantity for $7.50 for 200 pieces. So I'm completely satisfied. The Minora Stainless is a smooth favorite of mine but the Golden Shave - Chance to Win Gold is nothing more than a Gillete advertising campaign with no bearing on the blades themselves, other than 5 vs 10 tucks.
This has been covered as long as four years ago by @ivan_101 and others. The campaign also includes Nacet, 7 O'clock Super Stainless, 7 O'clock SharpEdge and Super Thin Platinums.

Rex Platinum are private label Czech Blades. They are not even in the ballpark of those classic PPI blades, and can be had as OEM Tatras for a fraction of the price.Matt from Razor Emporium used to use Polsilver as his standard.
