Got my herbalist supplies stock on Boxing Day as well because I have acquired quite a few clients in December.

Oh forgot about these soaps - ordered them weeks ago.
Five Juniper Tars and six Turkish Dalan Traditional Olive Oil and Lavender soaps - both wonderful scents plus they are both medicinal.

I prefer big multi purpose soap.

Dalan is brilliant is a brilliant traditional soap company and they do lots of varieties and cosmetic ranges and are well-established and known Worldwide.

Recommended - been using their products for 30 plus years.

DHL just dropped off some Blue Cedar Soap which smells divine.

Next I want some Moroccan and French black soap, some more Savon de Marseille floral and herbal varieties, some Coconut Oil soap, Argan Oil and a Glycerine Rosemary soap loaf.

My last purchase of 2024 - hopefully I will purchase fewer items next year. Two unused and boxed Shulton Old Spice bowls to go with my recently acquired Lime bowl. I would place these at early 1980s.

Bought some SV Argania soap and AS and a stunning Oumo brush with Rorschach finest badger knot, which will pair beautifully with my brass Karve razors! Very happy with these last 2024 purchases.

I get excited when I find shaving kits at antique stores. You never know what's inside. So, I found this one today:

...and you can see what is in there...

...a near new, maybe unused gold Tech, no date code. It's the nicest gold Tech I've ever come across. If it has been used, not much.

Pro tip:

ALWAYS open shaving kits and check for razors. Very often, these kits were recieved as gifts and never used, or used infrequently.

...oh, and a nice "old" mug, porcelain, not glass.

The Canada Post is catching up on their backlog after being on strike. My order that was dispatched Nov 12th has arrived!

Two unused and boxed Shulton Old Spice bowls to go with my recently acquired Lime bowl. I would place these at early 1980s.

They are the bowls I used to buy in Sydney in the early 1980s when I first left school. I loved the dished surface which allowed you to lather without overflowing the bowl. I wish more came like that now (looking at you, MdC!)

So I opened some new shaving soap. I was late to the MdC party, picked up a 60g puck in a nice glass holder called Le Beurrier. Liked it enough to pick up a 200g jar. $57.75 shipped.

The soap, blades, and fancy travel soap case were freebies .

The razor (a Souplex Open Comb) was in the soap case:

I'm definitely looking forward to trying this Souplex OC out. It'll most likely be tomorrow as I'd already shaved when the Postie turned up.

If I like it I'll be joining the Souplex Owners Club for sure.

Today I went to the Auchan store to buy groceries for the New Year's table, and at the same time I bought two colognes produced by the Moscow factory Novaya Zarya. These colognes remind me of the Soviet era.

Thanks to you I'm learning to say Eau de Cologne in Russian

I love the brass, or is it bronze, that Shield used to have. Apparently they had a handle left over and threw it in with my order! I put a more appropriately weighted handle on the tiny razor head(18g) for tonights shave. They shipped it loaded with what looks like a Feather Pro Guard which I will be using. This might be too aggressive, even for me!
